Rev. Isaac Egbewole Foundation sets for 2025 Akui Children's Christmas party

Rev.(Dr) Isaac Egbewole, the Convener of 2025 Akui Children Christmas party, has said that all machinery has been set for this year Children Christmas party. Dr Egbewole said that Akui Children's Christmas party which started with 50 children in four years ago witness over 800 children in 2024. BANDIT CRY OUT: "WE BOUGHT DRUGS FOR THE RELEASED PLEATUE MONARCH".

The suspected bandits who abducted the Paramount Ruler of Gindiri in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Charles Mato Dakat, took good care of him, a palace source said on Friday. The monarch, who was freed in the early hours, was taken to the hospital for a checkup. A palace source said the abductors bought drugs for the monarch and did not maltreat him.

INFERNO : BIGGEST SUPERMARKET BURN DOWN IN ABUJA

24 hours after a massive fire engulfed Next Cash and Carry Supermarket in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory, firefighters are still struggling to completely put out the fire. This as security operatives have denied journalists access to the premises of the razed Supermarket. The supermarket which is one of the biggest in the territory according to some of the employees who spoke to journalists on Sunday the fire started around 8 am. They also said the inferno was caused by an electrical surge which started from the administrative section of the supermarket.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has dismissed the claim that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Amid reports that some presidential aides have contracted the virus, the minister stated that he was neither in isolation nor received treatment for the disease. “For the record, the minister does not have COVID-19, hence he is neither in isolation nor receiving treatment anywhere,” his media aide, Segun Adeyemi, said in a statement on Sunday. “That report, which was first published by an online newspaper and then latched on to by some mainstream lapdog media, once again highlights the uphill task we face in our campaign to stamp out fake news and misinformation.

According  to news now posted that :  AGF says 18,388 mails treated in 2021 Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to use his good offices to direct the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and appropriate anti-corruption agencies to investigate allegations that over N3 billion of public funds are missing, mismanaged or diverted from the Federal Ministry of Finance. The organisation said the allegations are documented in the 2018 and 2019 audited reports by the Auditor General of the Federation. SERAP said: “Anyone suspected to be responsible should face prosecution as appropriate, if there is sufficient admissible evidence, and any missing public funds should be fully recovered.” In a letter dated December 24, 2021 and signed by SERAP’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, the organisation noted that the reports suggest a grave violation of public trust. Boxing Day: Mother, two daughters die in auto crash

A Sunday auto crash at Itako, Ijebu-Ife in Ogun State, claimed the lives of a woman and her two daughters. A truck and a Ford SUV were involved in the accident. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesman of Ogun State’s Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta. He said the accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. and was caused by excessive speeding by the driver of the Ford SUV who sped into the truck. He said only one of the four persons involved in the accident survived. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has broken silence after his estranged wife, Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, announced her separation from him through an Instagram post on December 23. The 28-year-old prophetess had in a statement posted on her verified Instagram handle  @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi  announced an end to her three-year-old marriage with the Ooni. But in what appears to be a subtle reaction amid the trending controversy, Ooni on his official Facebook page  (Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi – Ojaja II)  advised everyone to “reach out to neighbours, especially those who haven’t had it as easy through the year”.

The Presidency is not in agreement with the National Assembly over the legislature’s decision to increase the estimate for the 2022 national budget by N1 trillion,  The Nation  learnt yesterday. The increase has sparked misgivings at the seat of power, sources said, with the Federal Government already weighing its options on the development. He’s iku baba yeye, alase ekeji orisa (the almighty, the ruler and companion of the gods). In the actual working of the government, however, the Alaafin was an absolute monarch. He governed in conjunction with a council of state known as Oyo Mesi . Below are the kings who had ruled one of the greatest empires in history. c.1210– ORANYAN (Oranmiyan) Oyo-Ile was founded. Oranmiyan was the first king and the founder of the Oyo empire. He was the son of Oduduwa. Oranmiyan was a very brave and warlike king. He was said to have headed his brothers (other Yoruba kings) on an abortive expedition to the east to avenge the death of their father.
